After The Hunt May Just Be Our Strongest Ministry Resource Yet. The Reason? Because it's what churches have been needing for such a long, long time.
OMN exists to take churches into real outdoor ministry. Not just Wild Game Dinners. Game dinners are annual events ... and they were never intended to be the "final answer" to reaching outdoorsmen. They are one of many ways to get introduced to outdoorsmen in your community. Even still, we know that many churches are hosting wild game dinners and desperately need to follow up with the men they are reaching for Christ.

After The Hunt is a DVD-based resource that walks with a new believer in their first 30 days with Christ. It's not a daily devotional type DVD. It's more a weekly thing.
Throw in a fast action turkey hunt and a big 10 pointer ... and you've got yourself a dvd that any new Christian hunter will love.

Over the next 4 weeks, the outdoorsmen is led on a journey with Gary and Jason as they explain life in Christ by comparing it to a process the outdoorsmen in familiar with ... what happens "after the hunt."
Week 1: The Check In Station
You've got to check in your animal and get it on the record. It's the first step. Checking in is all about making it official. Every hunter loves to brag about his new trophy. It's important to let people know of your new decision.
The viewer even watches an fast - action turkey hunt where a new turkey hunter kills his first bird. And it's a hoss of a tom!
Week 2: Processing
You've also got the task of getting the most out of your harvest. So you take it to the processor. This segment covers the process God uses to transform a person to be like Christ. Here, the viewer walks through the importance of getting into a consistent devotional life in God's Word. And the necessity of getting into a weekly bible study at church is coverd, too.
Week 3: The Emotional Roller Coaster
Every hunter knows what it feels like to be totally drained after a great hunt. Excitement from the shot, and exhaustion from the work afterward! You go thru the gauntlet of emotions, and salvation is no different. It's important that a new believer know how to deal with doubt, discourgement, and disappointment.
Week 4: The Picture
If there is one thing a hunter loves, it's taking a picture of the animal. God wants every believer to show the world what's happened in one's life ... and we call that baptism. Jason and Gary discuss why baptism is so important to a new believer's journey.
Hopefully you can now see why we believe After The Hunt is quite possibly our strongest resource to date.

After the Hunt is right on! I actually cheated and watched the whole thing last night (instead of American Idol). You guys found that piece of the puzzle that so often gets lost. I think we as Christians get so wrapped up in making sure these folks get "fire insurance" that we forget that Jesus has called us to make disciples. This year we hosted a venison dinner with over 850 men & boys in attendance. We had 54 men and boys make first-time commitments to Christ: praise the Lord! Afterward, we gave out and mailed the After the Hunt DVD to each person making a decision as an exciting new tool for follow-up. Over the years of having our venison dinner, our greatest need was getting something into the new convert's hands that was easy to use, enjoyable, and a way to solidify the message that would hold the interest of the outdoorsman. After the Hunt perfectly fits that bill. Finally, a great resource for follow-up to a much-overlooked segment of our outreach endeavor!
